Garden Design Case Study - Huf Haus Private Client

The robust, simple design reflects the distinctive timber and glass of the Huf Haus architecture. The contemporary design permeates the immediate garden spaces – patterned granite paving, a formal water filled canal, garden division screen and timber walkways.

The building creates a retaining element across the site allowing relatively level garden spaces. A curving timber decked ramp links front to rear garden areas and a linear water feature separates a paved area from the formal lawn.

A small waterfall issues from beneath the ramp with subtle lighting.  A prominent stairway from a first floor balcony extends via a dark granite bridge over the water focusing on a foaming water fountain beyond.

The garden extends to form a boundary with a local wildlife sanctuary and the transition from the hard, clean formal lines of the garden around the house dissolve into a wetland garden with willows and meandering timber walkway.
